I am Parasshuram Shalgar, a level-8 local guide with over 26,000 points from Hubli, Karnataka, India.
Google Maps is a beautiful tool for all. It is of great help whenever one is traveling. I have used it extensively whether I want to search for a place, distance or check the routes.
I started contributing to Google Maps as a Local Guide because whenever I visited a new place, the Google Maps feature on my phone asked me to review the location. Now I am used to it. I have reviewed over 130 places and shared over 700 photos which got more than 4 lakh views so far in quick time.
I like to review the places i visited to help people get first-hand information on the place. Even other’s review has helped me to visit a place.
I want to contribute reviews to the lesser-explored parts of India to Google Maps. This includes the urban landscapes, the mysterious jungles, the sandy beaches, the beautiful mountains, and so much more
This photo of mine that I took when I traveled to Dubai garnered around 26,000 views on Google Maps. This is Gold Souk Area and I got appreciation because people got to see how the place looks. This is one of the reasons I like to share photos on Google Maps.

The above photos were taken and shared on Google Maps when my friend visited me in India and i took him to Hampi, a historical sight-seeing place in Karnataka.
Google Maps helps me out perfectly by saving my favorite locations and that I can label them. I also like the feature that helps me to explore a new area. My favorite action on Google Maps is when I can send my friends and business partners my location, and they can also share their location.
I am very interested in leading a program of local guides in my region.
I look forward to continuing to be a local guide, reviewing places, sharing photos and the aim is to reach level 10!
