Road trips are my absolute favorite way to travel!
I’m a passionate driver with more than 25 years of driving experience.
After having traveled around my homeland, Ukraine, I discover new places in different countries of the world and the most spectacular roads.
I love hitting the road, with the wind in my hair and not a worry in the world or place to be. Road trips give you a sense of freedom as you travel on your own time, to the places you choose.
As I alluded to in the beginning, I love the sense of freedom you get on a road trip. You chose when you leave, where you go, where you stop, how long you stay, and the playlist of course.
Stop-by if we come across some beautiful place and appreciate its beauty by spending some time there and maybe capture the place in your lenses.
After years of traveling, I have realized that I am not the type of person that likes to be put on a bus with 50 other tourists and told they have 30 minutes before we leave. This style of travel just doesn’t work for me.
Road trips allow you to engage with people and places in a very intimate way!
If you are a conscious traveler, a road trip is definitely the way to go. It allows you to support the tourism industry of many small towns that would have been overlooked if you didn’t happen to drive through them or feel yourself a part of the road chaos of huge metropolises.
A couple of years ago we rested on the beautiful Spanish island of Majorca.
One of the points of our journey was Cape Formentor.
After seeing the recommendations of travelers we had to get to the observation deck of the cape. The road was narrow, but fabulous beautiful - on the one side beautiful mountains, on the other side a cliff above the endless sea expanse, cut by intricate shapes of rocks. From the morning the road was occupied by sightseeing buses, mopeds, cyclists and other cars. At some point, our navigator turned off and we drove our turn to the observation deck.
At first, I thought to look for a U-turn somewhere, but my intuition told me to go further. There are fewer cars, and the views are even more beautiful!
I wondered where they were going. The road became more and more winding, mountain serpentine made it possible to fully enjoy the views and driving skills.
And it became visible the purpose why I get here - the lighthouse of Cap de Formentor.
Beautiful views of 360 degrees, there is a cafe inside of the lighthouse where you can drink coffee with delicious pastries while admiring the views.
For some reason, I did not see recommendations about this place from other travelers.
People tend to popular places, and such beautiful places go unnoticed. And I hope that my photos and reviews on Google Maps will help people see more interesting places and get real adventures.
So adventure awaits!
Get ready for new experiences, friendships and the unpredictable joys of road tripping. All you have to do is pack your bags, fill the tank and open your eyes to the scenery flashing past your windows.
Take a good driving partner, with driving habit same as yours so that you enjoy every minute of your journey!!!
