First of all it gives immense pleasure in writing my first post as part of the application for the Local Guides summit. So I have been asked to write a post for why do I Love sharing stuff on Google Maps. I do have some reasons which I have listed one by one.
Feel the Excitement of helping others:
So I will take back to the first thing I shared on Google maps. I added a New Place to the Google maps in 2016 because I spend lot of redirection and and getting manual guide from many real people and I couldn’t reach on time. So I got the GPS coordinates of that place once I reached there and added that place to the google maps. For my Surprise that place had helped more than 100,000 people in a span of 2 months. That gave a big happiness and excitement to me
Wanted a verified review on Restaurants and places:
If I see reviews about a place I read through them, If I find that to be having a Local Guide badge, that review gets my full attention, It helps me a lot to decide on whether that place is good or bad. So I wanted to do the same to the new visitors who visit my community.
Wanted a place to keep my memories:
My Brain works like a RAM memorizing things in it is a tough task for me. So I started using Google maps and wanted it to behave like a ROM 
a place where I can keep a memory of the places I visited.
