Hmm, let me think and recollect all my memories when it was all started.
I was on my bike with my cousins on other bike heading towards another world away from home, Ladakh(India). I clicked multiple pictures of landscape, portrait and yes, few selfies too and my phone was linked with Google(as, I am not a Apple person :P).
Somehow, I agreed to upload my pictures and also writing few reviews on Google Maps till one day I got a mail from Google, that my uploaded pictures was seen by 5000 people from around the globe, and I am like, what, when and how it happen?
I read it and found the whole Google Maps policy which encouraged me to help mass.
The insight mails from Google encouraged me to start making at least two travel/trek plan every year to the place I haven’t been.
So, I started planning and Google Maps became my real partner in this voyage. I always give a sneak peak to that place where I am planning to go, first on Google Maps then on different pages on Google to figure out.
While traveling for 3 years now, I now realized that unknowing posting of my travel and random photos on Google Maps, I was actually helping many. Initially, I was posting pictures of remote places and mountains only, but then I started posting local pictures(Delhi, Mumbai and local streets of India, etc.) too, just to help.
Small steps and a big result, after few months, I again got a mail from Google giving me a insight of my uploaded pictures till now and I got shocked that they have been watched and reviewed by hundred thousands of people around the Globe. This encouraged me more to share more and more, so to reach millions of people in world.
I love to share my travel as well as my streets pictures and posts, so that it can be helpful to all those who are planning to visit the place in coming days. And also love to answer the questions asked about the place I have been too. I believe that my small contribution helps people to reach their destination!
