Hi, My name is Stacey and I’m a Local Guide from Manchester in the UK.
My two greatest passions are food and travel, so I’m on Google Maps quite often, scouting out locations for an up and coming trip, or adding reviews and photos of places I’ve been. Whenever I go to new places, getting thoughts and advice from people who have added reviews and answered questions on Google Maps helps me to make sure I don’t miss out on the best an area has to offer. Whether I’m nipping out for lunch with a friend in a neighbouring town, or taking a two week trip to India for a cousins wedding, Google Maps helps me plan ahead. I particularly find photos helpful. Like they say “A picture tells 1,000 words”.
That’s why I enjoy contributing to Google Maps, to give something back to a community that fuels my travel adventures, and help others discover something new! My particular favourite activity is adding reviews and photos for new or smaller restaurants, that are locally owned and off the beaten track. I hope to tempt visitors away from the chain restaurants in the centre of town so they can really get their teeth into something unique to Manchester.
