For 11 years working at a telecommunication company I have moved to five-time of different city & area , and in one city, of course, the work area is quite wide in one province, of course living in 1 city surviving three years requires me to visit hundreds of spots, either hotels, eating places, destinations tourism, public service, sea, river, lake.
When I served in Maluku Province since 2016, the location of this province was eastern Indonesia, a province with 92% sea topology and only 8% of the land, of course, there are thousands of islands forming the Maluku Province because I often visit work remote areas in the regency in Maluku. And when visiting remote areas, certainly the most needed is a guide from Google Map to find good accommodation and halal eating places in the city, but experience in a small town in the land of Maluku, many locations have not been labeled on Google map and even if there are also locations that are mostly misplaced.
The most difficult is usually to find the contact/telephone number of the hotel that you want to use as accommodation so it must be searched directly to the location. Since then I have been actively writing reviews, giving the location point of the existing local business, correcting the contact number.
I have this experience happening in the city center of the provincial capital, in the city of Ambon itself, there is a well-known national bank point that turned out to have moved over two years ago but the point was there, until we came there and the location was wrong and no one who cares to fix even a few dozen employees at the bank for the time being no one cares and changes the location of the address to the new office.
This happens in provincial cities especially if in remote villages or small towns, for this reason, the role of local guides is very much needed in small cities, which is why I am very excited to review and post photos of locations to make it easy for others to get the latest and detailed information and my hope is to optimize google map for all locations, especially tourist sites can help the Maluku provincial government, especially the tourism agency, to optimize the existing tourism potential that has not been maximally explored to the public / international community. The more valid information about attractions in Google throughout the world will attract many tourists visiting Maluku land which has hundreds of beautiful beaches and historical tourism, and their arrival will help develop tourism in this region. So as long as I am still working in this area I will do my best as a local guide to help Maluku to become more famous to the world.
