Hi, I wanted to write this short post today to introduce myself and why i love sharing on google maps. To begin, i am Saraf Talukder, and i have been living in NY for over 3 years now. Before that i used to live in London for 5 years, and before that it was, Dhaka-Bangladesh, Kolkata-India, Bangalore-India, Chittagong-India, Chengdu-China.
So as you see, i love exploring the world and have worked and lived in many different cities around the world. This of course comes with a lot of difficulties, and one of them being the unfamiliarity with a new place i go to. However, since google maps, life has been very easy for me with these city transitions. Every time i settle in a new city, i tend to use google maps streetviews, local place reviews etc to help myself accommodate to the new surroundings.
This is the main motivating factor why i also love to contribute to google places and streetviews. I think it has helped me so much over the years and still continues to do so, i feel obliged to contribute and help others, as much as i can by adding more to these resources.
Hope i can continue to do so in the future. Here a nice view i have taken of camelback mountain i went this weekend (March 3rd, 2019).
