My name is Omotayo Saka and I live in Jacksonville Florida. I love sharing on Google Maps and Connect because I realized that a lot of people do not know enough about my community. See I live in a tourist state and so every year we have tons of people who flee all the cold-ravished areas up north for the warm weather here down south. The fact that I drive for Uber has a lot to do with it as well.
Whenever I pick up these snowbirds, as thery are called around here, from the airport one of the first questions they ask me is what are some of the fun places in town that can keep them busy while they are here. Some of them want to know if we have beaches, what type of beaches do we have and how they can get there. As a matter of fact, just last Saturday, I had to change the destination for these 2 tourists because where they intended to go originally was ‘boring’ according to them. So I suggested a different destination ans they agreed!!!
So for me, sharing is my kind of contribution to my community, if you will!!!
