Hi, I’m Shazily, most of my friends call me Shaz, because you see, in Pakistan where I come from, Shazily is not the most common name, especially for a boy. I grew up in Karachi, a vibrant city of millions of people with different cultures, languages and great food
When I first moved to the UAE, I didn’t know a soul, I didn’t own a car and I didn’t speak the language. Google Maps was my main source of information for where to go, where to find places to eat, what places to visit and what people are saying about the places they visit, the food they’re ordering, and what they know. The insights were not curated by a business, they weren’t all 5 star reviews, they were raw, first-hand experiences. Experiences matter. And because they mattered to me so much, I knew that they also mattered to the millions of visitors and new residents who come to the UAE every year. People rely on the self-less contribution of other individuals online to enhance their experiences and to tell stories.
I love sharing because I want to share the same experiences with other people to have enhance their own experiences, share my stories, share my insights about places I visit and capture moments so they can experience new places, sample new flavors, share new stories through their lenses and build better memories - just like I have. We are no longer strangers, we’re a community.
Keep Sharing, keep exploring.
