Why I love sharing on Google map

Hello there everyone,

My name is Nur Hidayah but you may call me Daya. I am currently 26 years living in Singapore. I love to travel and share my experiences on google map.

Here are the reasons why I absolutely love google map.

1) Eco friendly

Let’s face it, physical copies of maps uses paper and after we are done with it, we don’t really recycle it to let the next person use it. We will probably try to discard it. By having google maps, it makes it more eco friendly cause we will never throw our phones away after we are done using the map. We leave behind less carbon footprint which is a way healthier and better for our planet.

2) Navigation

Google map shows us the navigation to reach the exact place. I don’t drive but my dad does and he uses some random GPS and god knows the amount of times we have gotten lost and he always ask me to use Google Map since they are very reliable and up to date.

Normal GPS we usually have to constantly update it and dad don’t bring it out of the car.

AND the best part, we don’t need to be in a car to navigate our way. They also have navigations to walk to which is a huge lifesaver when I decided to explore Busan, South Korea without a guide.

I mean, who can be a better guide than Google right?

3) Reviews and Ratings

I use this often since I tend to do research online before visiting places. Not only for my travel but also if I want to visit local cafes and restaurants. Pictures can be deceiving and the owner of the place could delete posts and comments on their page to showcase their business in a good light.

Reading honest reviews and rating from the people who visit there, gives me insight and usually information I need on whether I do want to visit the places or give it a pass. Such as the atmosphere, and entrance fees and so on.

That being said, I can also contribute by leaving my own honest reviews and ratings to these places.

I will always be thankful that google map exists because without them, I wouldn’t be able to visit these gorgeous places whenever I travel overseas.

Google map did help me be a little more daring while traveling be it solo or in a group. I’m sure it does for many others too and I hope you do it. Don’t forget to contribute to google map when you visit a place.

Remember leave contributions not carbon footprint when you visit!
