“You have 3,000 views on Google Maps, would you like to add more photos” this is the motivation i get to review more places in Kenya. The appreciation i get when i post reviews of places i have visited gives me more joy everyday. I am a born and raised citizen of Kenya but sometimes navigating through the country itself can prove to be difficult, but thanks to Google Maps and other google local guides, the journey for travel has been great and awesome.
The WHY I love sharing most on Google Maps.
Before i received the invitation to apply for Google Connect Live 2019, i was on a journey to visit different restaurants trying to sample out the best restaurants with awesome Salads in Kenya. After the invitation, i made it official to share my experience with the everyone worldwide. Google Maps has been a great companion especially in giving suggestions in list forms in the App of where i could visit. I tried a few of them and surely Kenya has a lot to explore. The food here is amazing and navigating has never been hard during my reviewing.
The content I share on Google Maps has been viewed so many times and i believe that it has helped people to navigate around since, i also have benefited from the posts people have made on Google Maps. My expectations of a place i want to visit have been visibly displayed in terms of photos and videos on Google Maps and this has made it easier for me in terms of budgeting and visiting at convenient hours. Otherwise I would have never made it to visit and experience what i actually experienced.
The WHAT I love sharing, is relative.
I live in Nairobi, Kenya. It’s a very big country with over 42 counties managed through devolution. I am proud of my country because of the serenity and different cultures that make it special when combined. Down in Mombasa, the culture there is known to be very diverse, the people of Mombasa are very welcoming and very polite compared to Nairobi City where everyone is for themselves. The best restaurants are in Mombasa but Nairobi and other counties also second in making the best places to visit. You will love Kenya, best believe.
I love to share content about places in Kenya. Anybody thinking of visiting my country should feel welcome and ignore the stereotype that comes on social media about my country. The terror attacks that happen are just but misfortunes that happen but that does not affect the beliefs of the people of my land and the cultures that we practice differently, we still remain the special people we always are and strive to be the best always. The Kenyan currency is very welcoming and is very easy to use, Google Maps is always ready to help you navigate around the country, more reason to visit.
