I travel a lot due to work, my company sends me all over the place to install new hardware for our data centers. Its a bit of a pain since we’re usually working on a tight schedule and are free for the evening only, at which point we’re too tired to do anything but find a good place to get something to eat.
And this is where Google maps and the local guides experience is most important, since the highlight of my day is the chance to try something new and exotic and tasty. I cant say I am the kind of guy who enjoys walking blindly into a restaurant with out at least doing some basic research, add on top of that that there is a lot of travel involved and this is the main meal of the day, it has to pan out, it has to be good.
But that’s also why I love sharing the places I go to on google maps, cause someone helped me find this place, someone told me: hey this place has good food and a good view after a hard days work. I want to be able to help someone as well, help them relax after a long days work, they’ve earned it.
