WHY I LOVE ADDING SMALL BUSINESSES TO THE MAP

For a business owner, his/her business visibility is considered as the key factor in propelling his/her business forward.

  1. By adding his business details on the map, the local guide will give the owner the opportunity to interact with his customers and review their feedback on his products.
  2. As a local guide, whenever I find a place which is not available on the map, the first thing I do is get all the related details from the business owner and upload them on the map. I explain the business owner on how this act will help him in growing his business and how he can use this tool to conduct visibility marketing of his business, through photographs and videos.
  3. As a local guide I usually encourage the business owners to highlight their product features and benefits, pricing, quality, and other product specific ideas on the map . The business owner can perform all this branding without wasting any money in printing flyers or maintaining websites.

Challenges faced during this tasks:

  1. Most of the locals here speak a different language (Not English) and getting their business details was very difficult
  2. They usually write their business names in their native language, it was challenging for me to upload the same details on the map
  3. Verifying facts about the places was also difficult because of the language issue.
