My name is Viktoria and I’m from Russia.
We have been friends with Google Maps for a long time. Ever since I added my first descriptive location post.
Why I love to share information with help of Google? Why I really like to do it? Did not thought about it before but something inside me told that it was just right 
. If a couple went for a walk they could be wondering where to go in the city to have fun. Or, young mother struggled to find a good swimming pool for her child where all would be good — coaches, clean and safe water. And here is the senior sat on the bench to calmly search for a nearest bakery… These are exact situations where my efforts would be helpful! With Google Maps everybody will be able to find the right place for them. I share my experience and impressions from visiting a particular place, talk about pros and cons, trying to be as objective as possible. People based on this can choose what they prefer.
Recently I realised that Google Maps is also a perfect assistant to introduce everybody to our local extraordinary places! After all, Russia isn’t only Moscow and St. Petersburg. This is also Caucasus with its sprawling chains of tall mountains, this is Altai with picturesque nature reserves, frosty Siberia, Kamchatka and much more.
I try to tell not only about cozy locations where you can eat, relax, play sports, but also about the places full of mysteries, about the most beautiful sights of our nature.
One such place is Dombai resort. This is a modern recreation and sports center, which attracts skiers, climbers and common tourists. Thousands of people come here with their families for active leisure. Someone reunites here with nature in splendid isolation with meditation, hot wine or herbal tea. Dombai has a truly extraordinary atmosphere, full of love and grace. Soul and body of every visitor will have rest from all kind of stress.

Interesting fact: there is a real flying saucer comfortably housed on one of the slopes of the Dombai mountains! No, the aliens have not landed here but still this location has attracted tourists for many years.
What is this flying saucer? It’s simple. Finnish architect Matti Suuronen was so impressed with the local landscapes that after passing through Caucasus Mountains on foot he decided to make such a gift. The ‘Futuro House’. But all locals call it just ‘plate’. It has been operating a hotel with a capacity of 8 people for over 40 years. What interior it has? What is placed inside? Come to Dombai if you have a chance to visit Russia and you will see it all by yourself!
