Why I like to answer questions and check facts.

It is always fascinating to contribute to a technology where I can help people solve their problems. People often seek questions to their answers on internet in two cases.

1) When they cannot ask questions to people

2)They are at a different place and their question is related to a different place which is away from them.

Here the technology can help them to find their questions and Google Maps is one such biggest technology to answer their questions and let me tell you the best part of this map here the contributors are local guides like us. Just imagine you are getting the answers directly from people who have been there or are living there and who can better guide you than the locals who are familiar with the place.

I realized this when I was searching for a hospital and asked the passerby who could not help me. I used Google maps and reached the hospital to meet my brother and later I learnt that these places on Google maps are created by local guides. It is so amazing to add a place on a virtual Earth where the entire world can search for it and get proper directions and information on its accessibility. This motivated me to contribute to google maps and I started contributing on it.

So the reason why I like to answer questions is that I want to help people to know the place better, save their time and money and clear their doubts. I like to engage with people by answering their questions.

Secondly, checking the facts is again what I like to do on Google because if I like to help people to know about the places then at the same time its my responsibility to provide them authentic information so that they can come back and ask me more questions for places and I can build trust among my community. So I check the facts where they are true or not. My contributions can help many people to get regular and right information and can impact their lives and this is what I want as a local guide.

That is why I like to answer the questions and check facts on Google maps.
