In this local story, I would like to share why I love to add a lot of photos of the places to Google maps and how does it help other people.
So, I am a traveller and I like to explore new places on the go and whenever I am travelling or just following my regular schedule for the day like going to college or going for a walk, what I do is I normally click photos of nature, animals but whenever I see a new place that is already listed on Google maps but the photos available does not do the justice to the place itself, I just pull out my camera or my mobile-phone, use all my photography skills and click some of the most beautiful pictures of the places.
After I’m done with clicking and I am looking at the photos, I select the best ones and just upload it to the Google maps. Till now, I have uploaded more than a 1000 photos on Google maps and my photos have more than 3,00,000 public views and increasing.
This is one of the best contributions any local guide can do to the community and help people know the place better before actually visiting it. As this gives an initial idea about what you can expect while you are there. I’ve been doing this for quite a long time and being a local guide, now it feels like it’s my responsibility.
