Why to be a local guide?
There’s always the question as of why should I invest my time into something, am I getting a reward afterwards?
Am I getting any benefit? Am I …? Well, to me the answer is “just because”. As simple as that.
Sometimes when I am just going around in the city (any city I happen to be at) I enter a place to do anything I need at the moment, being eating, having a drink, even buying groceries. But the important thing is that I always leave with a different mind set. So, based in my experience I feel that I can help anyone that at some time might be in a similar situation (i. e. looking for a specific article to buy) and I constantly think that if I help them their life would be easier and richer.
All in all, I consider that becoming a local guide helps you grow as well, it does not matter if your experience was bad or good, if you make the best out of it, like writing a specific, well-intended review you always win and you can make other people win as well.
You could that what I do mostly as a local guide is provide a rating for food, and write reviews as of the taste, the service, the quantity and, of course, the quality of what I experience not forgetting obviously the prices, since I consider that all people should have the opportunity to taste a little bit of everything. By this means, I like thinking that adding as much as possible about the restaurant that I happen to be visiting I am helping others to discover it and be prepared in advanced as to what to expect.
Since I would like to have the chance of visiting all possible restaurants around myself I would also like to extend the opportunity to a bigger circle of friends and the most convenient way of doing so is through my reviews.
In conclusion, please become a local guide and help us all grow.
