Howdy! Im Daniel Perez, from Lima, Peru!
After I traveled to different places of the world, I realized it is also very important to share local information like photos and reviews to the people that you live around and not necessarily to ONLY tourist areas like it can sometimes happen in Peru when you use Google Maps. Most of the reviews were in the tourist areas, but not in local and small areas or neighborhoods. I found out that a money transfer sotre was opening and I didnt see it on Google Maps for a while until I decided to added. So when I did I saw how many people I was able to help by doing that (5337 views so far!). I loved what happened and I discovered that we as a community can help each other. I started fixing addresses, schedules, contact information and many other things in order to improve our maps. I want Google Maps to always have the right information for everyone no only for the people who is just looking for the tourist places so we can trust Google Maps like I did in Europe from time to time when I was not in the tourist areas. It is amazing to find that all your work is seen by others and you can contribute to your area by many different ways, like going out for a walk, just riding your bike, drinking tea or eating a burger around your house out of the big deparment stores.
Im adding the photo that made me want to keep posting new things to Google Maps, I will remember this one and how it did change my view of Google Maps! Thank you Google Maps for letting us to help each other.
