Why I contribute to Google Maps?

Hello there! It’s me Krishna Prasad Bhusal, often known as K.P. Bhusal. I’m from Nepalese capital Kathmandu. I am passionate on contributing on google maps specially focusing on providing as much information as possible about local businesses, places, streets and so many other things which are either not listed on map or they lack information. I’m in a underdeveloped country so my main focus is to empower people and help them make their lives easier with enough information about their locality within their finger tips. I encourage them to find whatever they want on google so that I’d try my best to post information about not only nearby locality but also the whole country in general. I want to conduct local meet up here in Kathmandu to get connected with other passionate local guides. I am also planning to create 100 more volunteers to contribute to this mission and I have devised initial plan for that as well. The reason why I thought this is because we being in this country lack so many needed information within everyone’s access. And, one of the best ways to do is by providing lots of information on map. Lots of information, correct information and proper feedback from people who’ve been there!

Let’s do our best to help local people find accurate and lots of local information on google and google maps, so that life would be much easier. Let’s join the mission of bettering people’s lives.

Hi @kpbhusal ,

Great post! It’s really good to see genuine reasons for your contributions to Google Maps.

Many people don’t realise how much of an impact something as simple as being listed on Google Maps can have on their business so I think it’s great your looking to help those in your country.

When I travel around I often try to do the same to help smaller businesses and those in rural areas get some global visibility.

Keep it up!

Ketan

Thank you for your reply. You, I and all local guides can create impact in our society. Improving google map is one of the best things we can do in our free time to help people in our area.

Long live our solidarity.
