Why I am a 5 star reviewer for Local Guides

Like the title says, I’m a 5 star local guide reviewer. This means I always give 5 stars to any place I subscribe to the local guides community.

Why 5 stars every time? Simple, I support local businesses.

By reviewing them with 5 stars is the best I can do from my side to help local markets develop themselves. Nowadays places like Amazon, E-bay, Walmart, Target, Etsy, etc., are downsizing local market revenues per shop. This means more people are likely to buy online than in local (and next door) shops. While this is an opportunity for many, others like little shop’s, markets and local venues are struggling to manage online sales and promotions uprise. While promoting local goodies with a five star review, I’m helping them achieve business needs. Sometimes, prices are ridiculously cheap versus local markets, and by giving them more relevant reviews I believe I’m helping them with my two cents.

Ok, but always 5 stars reviews? Yes, I always give 5 stars, but just when they deserve them.

Don’t think of me as a 5-star’r compulsively through town, I only give this kind of recommendations when they deserve it. I know I give good reviews easily, but this is why I love Local Guides, because there is no better way than the good way, and this is how I think everyone should build the most powerful and complete guide on the internet.

I don’t hate bad reviews, I just don’t give them, I keep them to myself.

So, the next time you are about to give a low star review, please think about how this could affect the local market, the owner’s and the entire community. Humans love to criticize, and specially with food, drinks, and other “personalized” services. Please, let’s curate the most wonderful and loving community in the world, the local guides.
