I have posted photos and reviews as a local guide for a little over a year. At first, my photos got maybe a couple of hundred views (if I was lucky). Then we went on holiday to Orlando, in the USA, and the I posted this photo which I took at Universal Studios Orlando FL. Within a month it had over 200,000 views and I have no idea why. There are no hashtags and a very brief description. None of the other photos of Universal got anywhere near as many views. Is there something happening that I am not aware of? I’d really appreciate it if someone in the local guide community could help to shed some light on this?
It’s a really nice picture!
Interesting observation. It is hard to tell what gives impetus to some photos so that they “skyrocket” in terms of views. Glad I am not the only one who has wondered about it ![]()
Good on you, Mate for the massive views!
Thank you. I would genuinely like to know why. I think it is far from the best photo I have ever taken. I was hoping that someone from Google or another local guide who has had a similar experience could shed some light on this for me.
Nice @JustineE , I also took a photo of some mall in Poland and that photo reached more than 250 000 and I also do not why ![]()

Maybe that"s something we could ask about at Connect Live- why some photos are so much more popular than others. Did you apply to go?
Nice@SunnyOz, thank you for sharing.
Post more for us. Best wishes.
Yes I did ![]()
, hope to come
@JustineE
It would be great to meet you!
@JustineE well, it´s a very nice and colorfoul picture… I also have 1 picture with over 300,000 views of a "restaurant in my city “Lima”! can´t believe it!
@marcorp It’s strange- isn’t it? When some photos get so many views and others so few. I find it really interesting.
