Why google reject adding phone number on bussiness or a place?

1)google reject adding phone number

2)Or changing working hours 3)adding website on a bussiness or place

4)Some times my reviews remain hidden without any private info or symbols.

5)hidden photos which I try to add on place

6)pending road name for months

7)max 30 seconds clips to add

Hi @Saynaja , thanks for working to make Maps better with these edits. Lots to unwrap here.

First, when you add a phone number, or website, Google tries to verify this with public data. It seems that if you’ve gotten a few edits under your belt, your edits clear quicker as you have ‘proven’ to be a reliable resource.

If you’re having reviews hidden, your profile may be on the blocked status. I have never seen the feature that others talk about where my hidden reviews are flagged. But, there is a form to fill out that you can use to appeal any “blocked” status you may have. I’ll edit the comment once I can find you a link. It could be this issue that is leading to delays in your approvals of other items.

Road names are also difficult because they need to be verified. The area you’re editing may not have a connection to Google Maps, or public resources to the government entity that posts road plans or names, making it very difficult to confirm this sort of information.

And, videos are limited. 30 seconds should be the max. Looking at the most viewed videos on the Top 100 Leaderboards you’ll see most are under the 30 second mark.

I approve this problem about modifying bussiness places. As we found, there are two types of places on map. Business and normal place. Nowadays googles does not allow to add Business place in area of Iran. Also it does not allow to add phone numbers or modify hours.

For example there is a place that we can not modify hours which were changed due to covid-19. And now we can not fix it (https://maps.app.goo.gl/sWx7bx45Q1YL2YQ67)

Also we can not add phone number to the following place:

We tried with many accounts and I fear to get negative point from maps AI.

COVID-19 suspension for edits was about medical categories which is now lightened up. So there should not be any issue to correct the working hours.

And about adding a phone number to the place you mentioned,

Firstly note that the name you entered is totally wrong. It is forbidden to add descriptions to names, like “professional” or “specialized”. The services (like repairing the car cooler) could not be entered in the name field as well. Also, the name of the city should not be entered in the name field. The address clearly shows where the place is located.

Then note that on Google Maps the priority is for the landline number which belongs to a specific location, not the cell phone number. So, ask for the landline number from the owner and replace it with the current one on the map.

Also, strongly avoid giving 5star or any kind of reviews to your own/related businesses because It is also against the rules.

We have a problem with this place that we can not add phone number to it. It doesn’t have land number and have only mobile number. We decided to change it’s name so that we can create a new one that allows add phone number.

If you in any way is associated with the businesses kindly understand that names must follow the guidelines and not contain any location, category or marketing info.

Also, phone numbers can be used for validation of ownership where GBP is available, so changes to phone numbers is normally strongly protected.

Hi Morten,

I understand about the name not being set by me. My intention is solely to add the phone number.

Regarding the validation process, I need some clarification. I’ve noticed that adding phone numbers to other places is straightforward, but it’s not available for business locations. In Iran, we don’t have access to Google’s business services on Maps. What would you suggest we do in order to edit such places?
