When I come to any new country for me, I have an exact algorithm of actions.
First of all, you need to exchange some cash for small expenses. Then buy a sim card with internet access. After that, I become a person who knows the local language, traditions and customs. I can drive to any place by car, or get to any place by public transport, knowing where the bus is coming, and when I have to go, and for this I don’t even have to ask the conductor.
Most of all I like traveling as a tourist by car, on the way I can drive in several more places, thanks to reviews and photos in Google maps.
I look at user reviews on maps from local experts, it’s great when photos are attached, which helps to navigate the terrain, or assess whether this place is worth visiting.
When traveling by car with my wife, one phone is usually busy with road navigation, and the second phone allows you to see google expert estimates.
And if I get hungry on the road, you can always sort the nearest catering places by relevance or read customer reviews and choose a place with the best service, and see the quality of local cuisine by photo
Since I myself regularly use expert reviews, I would like to help other tourists who have visited these places, I always write reviews in both English and my native Russian to help my compatriots traveling abroad.
