Why do some locations on Google Maps not allow for editing of any kind?

As seen below, this is an example of what I am referring to. Why is there no option to edit this location, such as fixing its name or adding its website? Did I do something wrong?

Hello @r-c

As a local guide, we can add or edit points of interests only. (Shops, restaurants, Scenic spots etc.)

We can’t add the basic map elements like villages, rivers, mountains, wide-area parks etc. And thus these aren’t editable.

Nevertheless, if something is wrong or missing, we can always use the send feedback option.

Hi @r-c ,

Thanks for reaching out.

As @C_T mentioned, there are certain items in Google Maps that you can not edit and these include landmarks, established points-of-interests or even the names of a city/village. Only Google can edit these, although you can always send feedback and suggest your changes through Google maps.
