There is why I use Google Maps every day, for work, as for personal use :
There’s tons of reasons why I love Google Maps and use it every day, but the best way to show it, it to tell you how I use it and why. I use it personally when I want to find a new places for something I need, for example a park, a restaurant, a club or whatever. I can also check the reviews, the pictures, and be sure to spend a nice moment in a nice place. This is the best way to also discover new awesome places that you won’t never been without Google Maps. So, personally, it’s simple to understand how I use it.
I use it a lots, as a freelancer, living in Paris, I have to move in Paris a lots, by bike, by car, by public transportation or electric wheel. Google Maps can give me a really accurate time that I’ll spend on transport, and that’s perfect! I hate two things in life, being late at work or a client meeting, and loose time for nothing. Google can allow me to be happy everyday just by being accurate in time that’ll spend to go to my meeting, and also to not be too early and spend times to wait for nothing.
Also, I really enjoy a lots this feature that track my trips, this is perfect to be more accurate on special transportation as my electric wheel, I know exactly how many minuts I spend from a point A to B. I also know better how many times I spend by days by weeks in transportation.
Then, another example. I work in the show entertainement industry, touring all over the world with Artists to do the show with them. And so, before the day of the show we receive an advancing sheet, with all the informations about the hotel where we are going to be, the airport where we land, the hours of the drivers, etc etc… Every time I receive a document like this, I open Google Maps, and mark every places I am going to be in, and so I can exactly know how fare we are going to be from the hotel to the airport, to go the venue, I can also check what could I visit if I have some free time, I can also check the restaurant near. And so when I come back to this place as a tourist or for another show I know exactly where I was, what I liked and what I didn’t, thanks to the reviews I left. I can also talk to my friend about it :
- Oh! You go to Lecco in Italy ? Wait, I think I was there, let me check, yes I was there! This is an amazing place, wait, there is the hotel where I’ve been, look at the view I posted on Google Maps, and this restaurant there, mamamiia!
So yeah, I use Google Maps every day, I won’t speak about the traffic tools, the way that GM tells you which roads is close because of Yellow Jackets (+ the tons of others things that happens every times in Paris), and the way that I did a road trip of 15days off just with google Maps, 15 different cities in 12 Europe Countries in 15 days thanks to Google Maps, taking an hotel each day on the road.
