When I was in High-School I didn’t know about local guide but I used to with the google search engine because of my study and also as well as with Google Maps. One day my friend wanted to give me a treat regarding his girlfriend’s birthday in “HANGOUT CAFE” which was not far from our school.
The next day, I was following the google map as I didn’t go to that cafe before because we joined the school newly.
But the unfortunate thing was that when I reached the destination there was no CAFE I was distracted! that was very surprising for me because that was the first time I distracted by google map and I was very disappointed at that time.
I was thinking about how careless google is! I didn’t expect this kind of work done by google whereas Google is a giant and very professional company.
Then, I thought I should write a complaint to google about this, during that I realized how actually google maps work then I found the local guide community.
I was laughing by realizing that these placed added by local people in my country the mistake had done by a local guide.
I edited that place and took a few pictures within a few days I got a great impact on that. I inspired myself after this I always try to edit places than the adding new places. Because, if any place is not found on Google Maps people will visit manually that’s not a big deal. But when people distracted by google map that’s the biggest problem because I felt the pain before I know it better.
I started taking feedback from my friend and my relatives then I found some of them faced the same problem as me! I used to take details and tried to edit those places. During my contribution, I wanted to ensure that the correct location, details, and reviews than the photos or videos. I didn’t have a good camera as well so I tried to write reviews and ensure the correct location & details,
photos or videos can be taken by anyone that is the easiest way to get points and up your levels,
I found that kind of local guide too (who just uploaded a big number of photos to get points) in my area that’s why I didn’t focus that much on photos or videos.
However, I uploaded photos too as I checked the highest view of one photo which was taken by me is nearly about 40k. I have been contributing as a local guide nearly for 3 years till now I just uploaded 270 images only, my photos average view is around 1.3k and average review reader nearly 240. These are increasing day by day.
As I’m a student I don’t get so much time to contribute but I always try to help people as much as I can & that’s my pleasure.
