I’ve been using Google Maps for over 6 years (pretty much since it was released!) so I’ve seen it grow so much over the years.
For me personally, Google Maps is a fantastic crossover of some of the main aspects of my life.
I love travelling, having completed a round-the-world trip with my partner we used Google Maps daily for directions and tips. Also, we helped to improve the listing results along the way—as well as posting reviews and photos.
Other than travelling I also run a small web development business, so I am interested in the business listing side of things—helping to keep local listings and my client’s listings up to date, as well as using Google Maps as my main navigation system!
I think we’re at a very lucky stage where we have a community-driven map that is easily adapted and updated by us, the users—it could have been very different!
