From the very beginning, I began to publish photos of the places I have visited. I was just pleased to share my impressions, joyful moments and photos of various places I have been to.
Gradually, I began to notice that many places on the map are simply not marked, the information is not entirely correct, or many questions remain unanswered. Then I started adding changes to Google Maps, answering questions and still posting photos of places.
Later, I learned about the Local Guides Connect community and started writing about desserts and hobbies. My wife often prepares desserts for children, so I have many pictures of various sweets.
I was thinking of starting a blog topic, but it is time consuming to write something useful. Therefore, I still share my opinions, publish photos and answer questions.
Recently I received an email with an invitation to join Connect Live from Local Guides Connect and decided to give it a try. Of course, I have never won anything before, and now there is not much hope.
While completing assignments for participating in an event, I began to write on a topic that was relevant for me - places of entertainment for children. To my surprise, many different places that I have already managed to visit have not yet been marked on the map. I have four children, so for me it is a very hot topic.
In addition, I want to create a full map of my district. The residential complex in which I live is still not fully described and does not have all the institutions that work in it.
In general, I care about sharing information on google maps for two key reasons. On the one hand, it is obvious that reviews, photos and answers to questions benefit the people who need them. Thus, by placing information on maps, you can greatly simplify the process of making decision to visit a particular place.
On the other hand, participating in Google local guides gives you the opportunity to become a part of a global community of active people and feel the immensity of international communication.
And, finally, it’s still a pleasure to share the joyful moments of your life, and if it also helps someone in their choice, then it’s twice as pleasant.
