I joined the Local Guides Program in mid-2016. I was very happy when a year later I was selected to be an attendee of Local Guides Summit 2017. The following year was selected again as an attendee of Local Guides Connect Live 2018. I was very happy to get the rare opportunity to meet fellow Local Guides from around the world, visit Google Headquarters, discuss with important people behind Google Maps and the Local Guides Program, and of course to explore San Francisco which is very impressive!
I am a YouTube content creator with more than 88,000 subscribers. Most of videos on my YouTube channel are about food. I always try to find a new local restaurants, or an old restaurant that has good food but not very famous yet, tried the food and reviewed it on Google Maps in form of rating, comments and photos / short videos, and make a detailed review on my YouTube channel in form of video.
After watching my videos, my subscribers often asks about the address of the restaurant, and the best route to get there.
The explanation that I convey through words sometimes even makes them confused. Because of everyone is in a different start location to go to the restaurant.
Therefore, since mid-2018 I have begun adding Google Maps link to each of my new videos. When someone asks about the address of the restaurant is and the best route to get there, then I ask them to click on the Google Maps link in the description box of my video.

**I also took advantage of this opportunity to educate my subscribers about Google Maps and how to contribute to it. Maybe they are not familiar yet to use the Google Maps. Through the link I added in my videos, they became accustomed to use Google Maps to find the location they wanted, and found the best route to get there.
I always visit a new restaurant, reviewed it on Google Maps, and create a video of it for my YouTube Channel and add link to Google Maps on it. I do it all happily.
I am happy because I can keep contributing to the Google Maps and able to explain the location of a restaurant and its route easily to my subscribers, my subscribers are also happy because now they can easily find the address of the restaurant they are looking for and find the best route to get there, and of course the restaurant owners are happy because the visitors of their restaurant are increasing.
Everyone is happy because of Google Maps!
