Why did I start telling people about Europe?

Hi, guys. My name is Hyun and I’m from South Korea.

Actually, my first trip to Europe was when I was 20.

I was with my sister and we looked around Europe.

and my second trip was last summer.

I was with my mom and when I came back to Korea from my trip, I was like “I really wanted to live in somewhere in Europe”

So, when I graduated from university, I decided to go to Ireland to improve my English and to see their lives and while there I went to an international school but, it’s felt like I was the only one who wasn’t European at the school. So, since all my friends were European, I got more and more into European culture! So when I went to Europe I was used to European culture. It was a really big part of my life! and I love a variety of foods in Europe, I love European people, but people didn’t really know much about Europe in Korea.

So, I was like, “I’ve got to share this!” But it was very natural, it just sort of happened.

At first, I started writing on a blog for Koreans. People who wanted to know Europe could read my review and write comments. It was my happiness!

and then, I tried to write some information on Google maps in English.

While I was traveling, I was very happy to leave a review. and Now, It’s all thanks to my trip to Europe that I could be a local guide.

Now I want to tell all foreigners, including my friends, about my country.

I think Google Local Guides Connect Live will be a chance to let you know about Korea.

I hope to see you in California!

Hi @goonghyun ,

Thank you for your post. I was amazed in reading your story. Travelling and living abroad really fill your spirit up, and being in contact with other culture makes your life richer.

I have couple of questions after reading your post. Which was the place and the experience that surprised you most during your Euro trip? Which advise would you give me if I want to visit South Korea for the first time? I had the chance to visit a Korean restaurant the last month and I was positively impressed by your barbecue.

Last thing I have removed the label of the Korean language to your post, as it was written in English.
