Why bother??

So I actually am wondering, why do I even bother to connect on Google Maps? Why do I take the time and add my proverbial 2¢ about places I’ve visited. What the heck is the motivation?! I’m not really the soap-box kind, I don’t have to make my point… and frankly, I’m too old to care who reads my reviews (I am laughing). But, I do think I have a reason…it’s mostly because I enjoy sharing the good stuff… and I mostly try to not get too overwhelmed and angry about things that aren’t good. And in the big balance of life, truly, I’ve had some great experiences. Why not pass the word?

So, when the foods good, great! If the service is kind, awesome. If I got my money’s worth, stupendous! I like to go with what’s good. Of course, if it’s not so good, if the park is really ran-down, or the meal gnarly, then I say it in basic terms. I don’t get all histrionic and completely trash the facility… Just say what it is and be done.

I rather promote than demote. I mean, for myself it’s a drag to read the unadulterated rants and actually unhelpful reviews and comments. They’re not usually informative. Likewise I’m a stickler for words… Give me nouns, verbs, adjectives! Give me the reasons you give 1 star or 5 stars.

Google Maps and Guides is a go-to for me and it is nice that those of us with experiences can share, and at times connect a little bit more.
