I started writing reviews on Google map and knew about Local Guide since 2016 during my trip to California. I was really impressed by the accuracy of the addresses and information of every place on Google map. I could easily find the direction to any place by any transportation method. I could also discover all attractions around with many helpful reviews. After the trip, I decided to contribute my ideas of every place that I have chance to visit to the community.
In Vietnam, reading reviews on Google map before visiting a place is not very popular due to language barrier. But I have tried to write reviews as a habit whenver I have time, both in Vietnamese and English, because it really worths! My reviews might not only help to promote a small local business but also help tourists to make a good choice for their trip. It just takes me a few minutes for posting some photos and review on the map but it can save lots of time travelling for people. I really hope there are more and more Local Guides who write with all their hearts to make Google map become more helpful and popular all over the world. And I am sure that such a big event like Connect Live will help local guides in a small but beautiful country like Vietnam get to know wonderful and creative functions of Google map.
