Why am a local guide?

Travelmakes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” - Gustav Flaubert.

aah that’s a really tiny part, I haven’t travelled enough to reach moon yet.

Once upon a time when I saw google maps, it was the year 2009. I was amazed to see how easily we can travel around the world. just a couple of clicks and we can jump inside different corners on this planet. And I fell in love with google maps. From that day till today every time I want to know about a place, I open google maps and check it, check the images and comments/reviews. Whenever I need to travel(I love travelling), I ensure to have a detailed view of the whole route, police stations and all other basic need, this helps me make plan A, B, C.

Since I am using the maps and the whole community of local guides, it’s my belief to give back.

To give people real true about places, whether it’s a tourist place or a corner store on maps I contribute.

I love clicking photographs and I add them on maps. Knowing that this will let others see the place from the far corner of the world, maybe they are inside there bed sipping some coffee or in cab commuting to work give a feeling that I am helping others.

When I am commuting in the busy traffic of Bangalore, I keep exploring nearby places and also I keep answering questions about them, as I know those places well and it’s very easy to answer the questions with few clicks, I utilize that time.

The lists offered by Google has now eased my efforts of finding a place to go on a weekend, The list is always amazing, just close your eyes click on a place a go you will never get disappointed. This has given a true relief to my craving to find places and give some delicious food to my always hungry tummy.

Google maps have always been a place which I use on a daily basis and contribute as much as I can to help others getting genuine information.
