I am optimistic to share my insterest as a local guide with you. I joined google local guide about 3 years ago. My motivations then was the eagerness to partake in the history being made by going in developing the Google.
Being a local guide I believed will ensure that I contribute In my Own little way by highlighting areas not well captured and review them for inclusion.
However in the cause of my involvement with google local guide, I was able to find out about many areas of interest that are of tourist attraction. That aroused my interests in promoting tourism to my local community. Hence my interest has given me the opportunity to discover another passion that could be of benefit to my nations economic development…
Recently, my home government in Nigeria was interested in developing the tourism industry in. My country.
My privilege of having a good knowledge of the community made me relevant in the campaign for promotion of tourism in my country.
My new vision for tourism promotion influenced my look out for more areas of tourist attraction andake review about them. I am so impressed with the number views of such review and their influence on people decision to make my community a tourist destination.
In viewing my interest in tourism, I developed passion for review places like:
- Hotels in secure and beautiful environments. Considering the fact that proper and secure accommodation is a very important element of a good tourist destination
- Beautiful and unique Restaurants And bars particularly the ones offering local dishes and drinks. Our local dishes Like “Amala” With "Gbegiri and Ewedu soup " Is going to be a unique adventure for tourist.
- Malls and Gallery: I review malls and gallery to inform potential tourist what they can buy and where. In addition to shopping they can relax themselves with movies"international and local " at those locations.
- Leisure and Fantasy Centres: I review this kind of location to inform the public about where they can play games"indoorS and outdoors" and engage in fantasy adventures.
There is no gain saying that my involvement in google local guide has afforded me an opportunity to discover another passion in me, which tourism.
