Local guides have helped me a lot personally and to the business that I do. My first time seeing the actual importance of these guides was when I had an interview at a small business area in Germiston. I was requested to be at the place by 07:30 AM in the morning ( winter). I had to be sure how will I get there and how will I know it’s the right place a day before.
After asking friends for the direction I was still not sure where I was going. I found the place in the Google Map, the pictures of the place were so accurate from the entrance until to the company which I was supposed to be in at 07:00. I got there around 06:00 AM and at 06:15 AM I was already at the gate and very sure that I was the right place. I have since volunteered to be a Local Guide through sharing reviews, photos, new places and also adding new places.
I also design websites for some newly started businesses and I also have to add them on the map so they can be indexed and tracked easily. I am also a picture junkie. I shoot random pictures when I visit areas. Posting them on the local guides to help others find their destination is surely great.
