The cruise departs at 8.45 am from PIER 33, you have to be there 30 minutes earlier (as www site says).

Be prepare to wear comfortable shoes and wear worm clothes (thank @KarenVChin for tips), take snacks and drink. The tour takes at least 3 houres. I’m sure this will be a great opportunity to take some photo shots!
This look super interesting. I saw many movies settled in Alcatraz and I think that visiting it is a great experience. I already saw the prison of Napoleon in Isola d’Elba, and I can tell you that it was pretty exciting.
@AniaKiser Sounds fun! Are you thinking about carpooling to Alcatraz from San Jose? Do you think you’ll be back in time to attend the 36 Walk in San Jose which starts at 2pm?
@Denise_Barlock Hi there! I won’t go to San Jose on Monday, I’m staying in San Francisco till Tuesday. The trip to Alcatraz should take up to 3 houres (as it said on Internet).
@AniaKiser I would really like to go! …but I’m afraid that with SF being 50 minutes away from San Jose, it won’t be possible to make it back to San Jose without rushing to make the start time of the 36 walk. Looking forward to meeting you!
