Who let the dogs out?

I have a dog. Her name is Peggy. She is my absolute world. Every single decision that I make revolves around Peggy. This is why, when I am exploring the world, I want to know, ‘can Peggy come with me?’ These are things I take into consideration whenever I go somewhere. I just love being with her, and I want her to have a long and happy life by my side. And I know there are many dog owners out there who also feel the same way as I do. A dog is part of the family. In the UK, there are roughly 8.9 million dog owners and around 900 million across the whole world – that’s a lot of people! These are all people who go to restaurants, walk in the park, take a family holiday, etc, etc and they all want to do it with their furry friend by their side.

By doing research and listening to word of mouth - I have found places that are and dog-friendly. I write up my experiences on Google Maps, share any pictures and specific information that I think will help someone else when they make a decision on their next adventure.

Most people are used to finding out if a venue or location is wheelchair accessible or has a gluten free menu – I want to know ‘Can I bring my dog?’ Everyone has their own priorities and that is why Google Maps is so great. It brings so many people together and allows the world to get outside. I care about these people and I care about their dogs. There are so many places that are dog-friendly, and there are a lot more that don’t – and that’s ok, but – we want to know the places that do – and that’s where I come in.

More and more places are adapting to our lifestyles, it makes it a much more enjoyable experience for everyone. I have been fortunate to have taken Peggy to many great restaurants and venues. We return to our favourites and love to find the next great place for another awesome adventure together. Let’s make the world a more dog-friendly place and enjoy exploring together!
