Hi Everyone,
I always used to think that the guide is is one who is found on the tourist places and takes out all money out of our pocket for the trade of some Information, but the google has changed the perception of looking towards a guide through Local Guide Program. Now the person who has done a single contribution is also Local Guide, because we don’t know which contribution might help us. I will tell the Importance of a single contribution by anyone through an incident happened with me. Recently I went to a beach called “Kashid Beach”. This is the rural area where the village has not ATMs around the radius of 15 km o the Map but in actual the village had two ATMs in the radius of 7km (Told by natives). We reached to the place at 9pm and we had no Cash and we needed the cash to have dinner, this was a chaos of bad planning. This is why I like, rather I think I must contribute to Maps. So that no other person go through which I have gone.
So I try adding places or businesses as small as I can because I think there are other local guide who will contribute to big or famous places (I contribute to big and famous places too) but the main focus is to add every small thing on the Map. it is just that the community has given me something now I want to give back to community by sharing the work. I just want to return the favor the local guides has done to me. The true Local Guide is who do not discriminate between places, that this place is not famous I will not contribute to this place or that place is famous I will contribute to that place. The Local Guide who is unbiased, like a Mother to her children, is a true Local Guide.
No one knows which contribution will help whom in which situation. nothing is small or big every contribution matters. So do contribute, everything you find that needs to be shared, on the Map.
P.S. Don’t be biased about the contribution(small or big) just contribute.(I used to be.)
