Hi @WaweruM

Of course different countries have different cost, but in my opinion what really makes the difference is not where, but how to travel.

With this idea in my mind I started the series Traveling-Like-a-Local

In many countries, and in Italy for sure, you can save money using B&B /Traveling-like-a-Local-Italy-Where-to-stay-B&B/

In Europe one cheap and great destination is Croatia.

But I think that also Greece is not so expensive these years.

@ErmesT Meaning traveling like a local is the way to go, like sleeping in B&B and using public transport. That might be kind of risky for a traveler who is not a backpacker.

@WaweruM one of the most rewarding places to visit which can be done in a small budget is India. It may not be the most comfortable journey but the world of an experience truly make up for it. We have so many wonderful Local Guides here from India. Welcome.

One of my recommended places to visit in India is Kerala which is also known as God’s Own Country down South, amids lush coconut trees, beautiful backwaters, incredible culture and much more.

Yes and no, @WaweruM

B&B in Italy are a wonderful experience, sometimes better than a 5 star hotel, but at an affordable price.

For the transportation, I suggest to rent a car, as the small and beautiful towns are frequently not so easy to reach, and with public transportation you will loose a lot of time.

Of course it depends of your plan. If you want to visit a big city, like Rome of Venice, you should avoid a car

@ErmesT Thanks for the advise. Meaning how you choose to travel will purely depend on the location you are traveling to.

Indonesia will answer your passion. Once you visit Indonesia the ease will welcome you;

First, Indonesian sometimes is ‘kepo’ just curious to the foreigner, the positive thing is that everyone is willing to help, they will greet you with their unique culture.

Second, the need in Indonesia is cheap even cheaper to compare to many developing countries in the world, e.g. USD 1 can buy a packet of breakfast complete with a glass of coffee and milk (of course outside the hotel), USD 1 also is enough to buy 2 bottles of 1 liter of mineral water. That’s only the example.

Third, there are many tourist destination lying from the west in Sumatera island to the east in Papua island.

Fourth, Indonesia is the safe country, weapon and drug are prohibited to own by citizen as well as drug violation can lead to death penalty.

The last, please come to Indonesia, once you come, do not hesitate to contact me.
