We’ve seen many Achievements posts where Local Guides share their newest or most interesting Connect badges and we get it — it’s thrilling to unlock a badge!
I recently got a notification saying I earned the “Gave 10000 Likes badge” and it made me so happy because I was reminded of all the great content I’ve read on Connect over the years. Stories from Local Guides that are touching or amusing, great advice and thoughtful discussions, helpful solutions, and comments full of humor!

@DeniGu I recently achieved the “Community Challenge” badge, which brings my total badge count to 30! Among them,
I take special pride in my “Beta Tester” badge. This badge is quite unique to me as it granted me exclusive access to the forum for beta testing – a privilege enjoyed by only a select few local guides.
Unfortunately, the “Community Moderator” badge isn’t available just yet. But I’m excited about all the badges I’ve earned so far!
@DeniGu Thanks a lot for the opportunity to express a great feeling. I feel the most honor is the New connector badge. I believe that not only being in the community, but moving the community forward is a great thing and that only happens through a beautiful meetup.

What makes the Guiding Star badge so valuable to me is that it reflects my journey as a local guide It rewards me for rating my actions and making the experience easier for others looking for recommendations As I seek out new eateries, parks, landmarks, and businesses, I am constantly reminded of how my insights can impact someone else’s day. This underlying motivation to help others is at the core of the Local Guides and the Guiding Star badge captures that spirit beautifully.
‘Nice Friend’ - I like this one! Thank you to everyone for being here and making ‘Google Maps’ / ‘Local Guide Connect’ happen! I love seeing all the places, dishes and more on my laptop (and phone)! I am more than happy to give out ‘likes’ for this …and think it is great to get a badge for this (and to get ‘badges’ in general).
