We target to invite all the local guides from different part of the world who wish to explore Heritage of India.
Dear @KlaudiyaG, please guide us and give suggestions that how to do the things rightly. Then it will be really a great Achievement from the community of Tamilnadu Local Guides.
The idea of having virtual meeting is great. Usually I would suggest that you add the details in the description, before submitting your meet-up to be reviewed.
Please include a sentence in the text box to inform all Local Guides who want to attend the virtual meet-up, but don’t have the possibility to do so that they will receive a link from which they can access the virtual chat by email on the day of the event or the day before. All they have to do is to click the “RSVP” button, which makes them participants.
Hi @RVDG having people find your Meetups is always a bit challenging. On Idea Exchange there are various ideas listed for improving this situation that you might consider voting on. A couple of them are mine but there are plenty of others too.
I always start by posting my Meetup on https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup which will automatically post about it on Connect. I then edit the Connect post to include more information and usually add a photo or two more to help attract people. Then I will share that post to my social networks either directly or by creating a new post/story that links to the Connect post. Depending on the Meetup I might directly approach people I know through messaging apps or email and invite them. Be careful that you’re not spamming people if you take this approach.
Get your message out early (at least two weeks before the Meetup) and get it out more than once. Follow up with people towards the day of the Meetup to remind them it is on.
