Believe it or not, “Where should we eat/ visit during my holidays?” This is a common question I have to answer regularly. To respond to this sort of question I’ve created many useful lists on google maps. Now if anyone asks for these questions I give them my own list. Which is the most interesting thing I have done as a local guide.
Hello there, I’m Saad, a proud Level 8 local guide from Dhaka, Bangladesh. As many of you know I’m highly addicted to traveling and I try to explore not only the major tourist attractions but also the local restaurants, market places, book stores etc. I have explored some common destinations at home and abroad several times, that has given me a clear idea about those places. Anytime I travel to a new city or visit a new restaurant I share those information and my personal reviews on google maps. So that it can help others to make decisions where to go or what to eat.
Most of the time my friends, family members and even my fellow colleagues ask me about the destinations they are planning to travel. So I have to answer the questions again and again. They often asked about the major tourist attractions in that city, which areas are popular among tourists to stay or simply which restaurant serves vegetarian meals or halal foods. I can understand that questions can create anxiety before traveling. So google maps gave me the opportunity to make a list of restaurants or hotels in famous tourist destinations. Which helps many.
Recently, an exciting thing happened to me which I’ll share with you guys today. I was going to share one of my lists regarding “Most Scenic Waterfalls of Meghalaya” to one of my friends, so I opened Google Maps, and clicked on my lists. I was just surprised to see this list has 4.4K views on it. Not only that, the list appeared as one of the top featured lists of Meghalaya area. This is definitely a thrilling moment of my Local guide Life. That day I realized I’m not just a me, I’m also a we.
To sum up I’ll say, everyone wants to check the important facts on google maps such as the star ratings, reviews, food menu, wheelchair accessible entrance and parking area, kids playing zone etc. And we are the Local guide community, Who can provide a clear picture of the places to the traveler even before visiting.
