So once walking through the Museum of the General Staff Building, that had recently opened its doors, - modern and technological, luxurious and at the same time minimalistic - we found an exhibition of Annie Leibovitz’s photos, donated to the Hermitage. Portraits of Celebrities made her famous. They were created on requests of magazines and advertising companies.
My attention was attracted by a photo of an unusual “celebrity” - droid R2-D2, in his house - a transport box, made at a film studio. My nine-year-old son is a big fan of Star Wars and I, willy-nilly, got on this topic.
Of course, I took a photo to show my son later, however, it’s great that you can share such kind of discoveries with a wide range of people, upload photos of interesting exhibits, add video of interiors, give reviews about places you’ve visited and do all these things on the map, on which a route to the museum was built!
I like to take a photo of those exhibits that have touched my soul, in which I see a special beauty.
I upload photos on Google-maps to share my joy of discovery with people. I like the idea that everyone can visit the best and most interesting museums in my hometown right in the comfort of their own home.
On Google Maps, most of all I love to share my impressions of visiting museums, photos of interesting exhibits, beautiful interiors.
Of course, I also give reviews about restaurants, shops, bars, but I think the most interesting thing is to be able to take a virtual walk through museums being at home. In any weather, anywhere in the world, having access to the Internet on Google-maps, you can See the exhibition in a museum, enjoy painting and sculpture to stroll through the beautiful cities and their sights - Rome, Paris, New York, St. Petersburg, Moscow and many others.Without paying an entrance ticket, you can get to the museum and feel its beauty, touch the history of humankind, draw ideas for your own travels and routes and then, if you want, see all these masterpieces with your own eyes.
I also like to shoot short videos from museums and send them to Google-maps. I want to stop the moment, capture its beauty, and convey a global picture of the world. My vision of the world. My vision of the beautiful. Share it and inspire other people. I would like people to feel the spirit of discoveries and knowledge and make fascinating excursions, hear amazing stories that each exhibit tells.
I was extremely fortunate to be born in one of the most beautiful cities on earth. I want to share its beauty with the world on Google-maps and inspire people to travel and discover.
