Where did my badges go?

Hi,

Level 7 local guide. I enjoy contributing photos. Earned the Expert Photographer badge about a year ago. Went to look at the badge requirements the other day…and I can’t find it, or any of my other badges. Where did they go?

Hi @christopherjfeola , welcome to Local Guides Connect. I checked your profile on Google Maps and notice that you have now the Master Photographer Badge, so it replaced your previews badge (Expert Photographer). On Google Maps, we do not accumulate badges in the same category; instead, your level is upgraded.

To check your badges on Google Maps, please go to Google Maps App, and click on “Your contributions.” (Please, note that you can also get badges here on Connect, but they are different from Google Maps - to know more about Connect Badges, please read this article)

I’d like to enjoy the opportunity to congratulate you on getting your new badge. I took a lot of time to get this badge, and it is one of my favorites

Check again a in a few days. I had a similar concern, but then they had it all back to the correct counts a few days later.

Thanks Alexandrecampbell! I think what confused me is I was looking under Contributions on the desktop; I see them on my phone.

Yeah, pretty pleased about the Master Photographer badge. I’m currently at 14mm views. Nice to have an audience!

As @AlexandreCampbell already explained to you, you can see your badges under “Your Contributions”.

Please note that I am going to move your post to the How-tos board, as this would be helpful to fellow Local Guides searching for similar questions. And will accept @AlexandreCampbell 's reply as a solution to you query.

And another small tip: you can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name. This way they receive a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.

It is my pleasure @christopherjfeola . Another small tip: when you reply a person on Connect use “@” to mention him/her, so he/she will see your reply.
