I received a notification on my phone that I was in the top 10% of reviewers. The notification closed before I could finish reading it. Where can I go to see this achievement? Thanks!

With a red circle where you have to click on the cellphone version of Connect.
In the last screenshot you can find all the important notifications about your contributions among others.

Please kindly use the tagging tool “@” followed by the username of the one you are responding to like what I did to yours above 
.
If you click on updates it brings you to following notifications messages click on notifications then you have all the notifications available. Sure you’ll find what you are looking for.

You can update Google Maps from the PlayStore. Try with this first.

That’s strange but try clearing out the cookies and cache.
Log out and uninstall.
Reinstall and login again .
That should work

As I explained here “Android and iOS app are a bit different, and the notification tab is not present in iOS.”
In any case this kind of information (you are in the top x% reviewers …) Is normally sent also on the monthly email that Google Maps send us

I think you were looking for “Notification”, @OrlandoParksGuy . Notification are not available on iOS.
To find the Navigation button, just tap on “Go” the second button from left, and select your destination
