Where are the views coming from?

If one has 22 million photo views and 5 million video views but the total says 30 million views, where do the remaining 3 million views come from?

It can’t be from edits because those views are not shown and you can only manually count them. Also if they would count, In my case I would add 35+ million views :thinking: :joy:

What other views are there besides photo and video?

Hello @Latte

From your Maps profile I can see that you currently have a total of 26,464,315 views which is the total views from each of your media contribution areas namely, photo (21,747,644 views), video (4,716,571 views) and 360 spheres.

@AdamGT you are correct,.let me rephrase; what are the missing 3,5 million views?

To be honest, I was lazy and did not do exact math hence I ended up with 3 million :laughing:

The remaining views, @Latte , are related to edits.

I constantly receive emails from Maps about that. Something like this

Hope this explains the discrepancy

As you can read in my openings post @ErmesT those Edit views are well over 35.million views.so those can’t be the missing 3,5 million as there is a 0 missing.

I’d have to scroll back to make screenshots but I got one edit well over 12 million, another 6 million and plenty hitting a million.

Someone suggested these views are unreported views you gathered from Updates. I am satisfied with that answer. I did well over a 100 so that would make sense.

Hopefully we will somewhere in the future get better analytics showing Edit and Update views clearly.

@Latte

I believe views of new places you have added are in the 3.5 million views you are inquiring about.

Cheers
