As a local guide you contribute an item say a shop or an eatery or any other thing like that and one fine day you find that the shop is closed and just after a few days a new shop opens with a different name and different item to sell. What do you do? I advise please check the Google Map and if no one has updated, update it. It is real fun to update your own contribution.
We are always doing this to keep the map up to date @bhattuc
You look new on Connect, so take a look at Your Guide to Connect for more information on what topics are discussed here, how to choose labels for your posts, and many more great tips.
Feel free to share a bit about yourself and get to know other fellows in Connect you can visit our monthly Introduce Yourself - July 2021 section
Happy to help.
Hi @bhattuc
Thanks for sharing this.
I have a related experience:
After you have created a place your chances to make changes to that place soon becomes very limited.
You can correct a mistake once, but making more than one edit to a new place you created will then be going to pending status.
So when we create new places it is recommended to be careful and add all the data you have in one go and avoid typos.
I don’t know how long this spam fighting measure is active. Or if it is removed after a period of time.
Cheers
Morten
Hi @bhattuc and welcome to Connect
Additional to previous advice given, what I suggest is that you Edit the shop and mark it as permanently closed and then Add the new shop with full details name, category of business etc),
In the meantime, since you are new to Connect, for some great tips and to help you get your feet on the ground here I suggest that you should have a look at Your guide to Connect. Another good idea is to introduce yourself in the monthly Community Introduce Yourself post.
Keep guiding and
Thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate.
Well said.
