Still in the spirit of the #LocalGuidesCleanTheWorld ‘movement this time Batu Local Guides attended an event entitled’ How To Create a Home Decor From Plastic Bottle ‘organized by’ reuse.id. Participants in this event aside from Batu Local Guides, there were also a number of community environmentalists, housewives and students. As a speaker, Rolina Puspitasari, founder of “Reuse.id” Rolina said that plastic waste is now threatening human life in the world. When we don’t try to reduce the use of plastic, surely the impact will be very bad for our children and grandchildren. What needs to be moved is how we reduce the use of plastic and utilize plastic waste to be used as various forms of recycling. In this event the skills of making home decorations from used plastic bottles are taught. The materials used are used plastic bottles, jute, paper, scissors, ribbons, and beads. This activity was very interesting and the participants were very enthusiastic to follow the bottle decorating guide to become a beautiful flower place.
Finally we succeeded in making several flower vases made from used plastic bottles that appeared attractive. The event ended when all participants had displayed their respective creations and closed with a photo with all participants present.

This is one of the creative work in order to overcome the increasing amount of plastic waste. Hopefully this activity can arouse the awareness of the younger generation to be more creative, and reduce the use of plastic. Thank you @Annisa1208 for sharing this good activity.

Woww… Inisiatif keren yang dilakukan teman-teman di Batu, Malang. Salah satu cara menahan laju sampah kemasan sekali pakai dengan menggunakan kembali menjadi barang baru yang dapat bermanfaat dan bernilai ekonomi.

Reuse is one of the basic rules for reducing waste and pollution @Annisa1208 .
It started originally with 3 R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) then Refuse was added, and now Repurpose, the one thet you are applying in here, giving new life, and new destination, to a product that reached his short life as a bottle.
