When suggesting an edit, if I make a mistake,how could I withdraw the report?

Like the title said, I make something wrong.

And after submitting the suggestion, I realized that the information is not right.

So, can i withdraw the report, I don’t want to waste the editor’s time.

plz help me, thank you :smile:

Hello @Mororo Once you submitted the edits you can’t withdraw it. What you can do you only suggest another edit having correct information.

Thank you a lot. You are sooo sweet.

Have a nice day!

@Saddam_1 has given the correct answer @Mororo

Don’t worry about it, if the edit is wrong its unlikely to get accepted. If it does get accepted, edit it again and change it back.

Paul

Hi @Mororo I usually do this:

  • I open my contributions page and check if the edit was approved
  • If the edit was approved, I edit it and resubmit

Those tips are useful when you also want to add an additional edit you forgot.

Thank you for sharing your experience :hugs: @PaulPavlinovich

wow ,it’s really useful tip :laughing:

Thank you so much!

wow ,it’s really useful tip :smile: @Baptenda

Thank you so much!

@Mororo

Suggesting an edit before the approval of the old one will be a strong reason to affect your trust score.

Thank you ! :slightly_smiling_face: @deepakjhic

That is pure speculation @deepakjhic

I agree with you @PaulPavlinovich I would edit anything to make it perfect. That’s a proactive attitude.

IDK why we are discussing it here. If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out via DM.

In 2016, as per the discussion between G-Moderators and LG It was depending on the crowdsourcing via the facts sections. As of now there is nothing to deal with it.

@PaulPavlinovich

We discuss things here @deepakjhic because Connect is about building community through knowledge rather than hiding answers in DM’s. Please feel free to discuss such things openly.

@PaulPavlinovich ,

It seems you missed the last part of my reply.

Just a quick reminder, we’re under NDA( here you’ve , I’ve there and here too).

My both replies are enough to help you understand that there is no speculation.
