When not to take close-up shots?

The close up shot got more views than the wider on, while reporting an inner road.

The link

Recently, I added a congested Asian inner city road with both pictures of close-up shots and a wider/depth shot.

ironically, the shot which was close-up got over 13,000+ views and the wider shots had mere 2000+ views.

did anyone else experienced this ?

I was of the believe, that Wider shots are good while capturing a inner road.

Hi @Abhishek_SLN

You have added a road and used the category Historic landmark for a road.

You may want to know that adding roads to Google Maps should be done in a different way so Google Maps navigation can make use of new roads.

Also, adding photos to roads is not possible / allowed.

If you are confused about areas and items on the maps not accepting edits and photos, please enjoy this overview Shapes and Places - Guidance on where to add edits and photos including both flat and photospheres by PaulPavlinovich.

It can sometimes be surprising which photos are getting the most views. But over time you will learn to predict which kinds of photos are preferred more than others.
